Rant - Website Contacts
Last weekend I spent close to an hour filling out contact information along with specific motor and drivetrain specs on Holley and Quick Fuel's websites. Goal is to replace my early BG 650vs Speed Demon and was hoping for recommendations from the source...............neither have bothered to contact me.
You have to wonder why companies go to the expense of detailed contact pages on their sites only to ignore inquiries? Grrrrrrr............... End of rant. |
this is very widespread, also a favorite rant of mine. Makes no sense. It's actually better to not have a contact at all if you're not going to respond.

I know it sucks, but if you did it last weekend, it's probably been only 5 working days. Those website inquiries and forms take up to 2-3 weeks sometimes. It's like ordering a free catalogue on a site. Hell, it took so long I sometimes forgot I asked for it. Then the catalogue shows up 3-4 weeks later. Let's hope they get back to you soon. Shooood, I've waited for a return phone call for two weeks before and that was after speaking to a live person. So, for filling out an inquiry online that someone has to check periodically it may be a little bit of a wait. Just my opinion.

The automatic impression made is; if this is how they respond to sales inquiries, how are they going to handle product support? Been down that road too many times with Barry Grant. The inquiries from my company's website go right to my phone 7 days a week and the customer is acknowledged within 9 hours at the worst......... in 35 years I've yet to have too many customers, maybe I'm abnormal. :_paranoid :D |

It's pretty easy to figure out what SIZE you need... if you don't know that math I can post it for you. Then it's really "use" -- as in street driven mild cammed motor - or rowdy big cam drag race motor etc. I agree with your rant BTW -- as I've run into this several times. |
Pick up the phone and do it old school. :D It works....
In business, web inquiries fall through the cracks from time to time. A majority are tire kickers and not ready to purchase. The volume can be overwhelming. |

I had a thorough and timely response from pro-system.com using their online form. I recommend you give them a shot helping you.

See, two tire kickers in one day. I've also done the Pro Systems form. I found out that it's boiler plate with a few changed fields. :unibrow:
