Jon's 69' Camaro Project @ Holohan's Hot Rod Shop, inc

This project started out quite awhile ago and was started with the intent of helping a good friend of mine do this work in his garage.

Well, things progressed as usual, and it ended up here at the shop due to the severity of how bad the car was done previously.

To date I have'nt seen any project that had been done like this one. The work that was done before was strictly done in order to get it done to sell at the car lot and nothing more. The work ended up so bad that it had no structural integrity and was very unsafe.

My friend Jon has defintely been getting some education on what "not to do" and is learning what it take's to get things back to normal. Plus he has been another customer that has been very easy to work, which again makes it very nice on my end.

I'll post a quick description on some of the bad areas that were done as I post the pics.

Project specs:

--- all sheetmetal restoration

--- minor custom metal work

--- DSE front and rear suspension

--- mini tubs, sub frame connectors, partial roll cage

--- Billet Specialties 18" Boost Wheels

--- LS3 SS MAST Motorsprts engine

--- T56 Trans from Bowler Transmission

--- in house paint and body

--- Vintage Air

Looks like a real nice Camaro on the before pics, but I know it will look way better when finished.

It looked nice in the picture and when your done it will look better and be done right. Is it going to stay silver or is it going to be a different color? With all those nice parts it should be a fun ride.

Dan is not exaggerating as I saw this car after blasting. Man can paint hide alot. :_paranoid I felt bad for John when I saw it. But as normal Dan has put his metal skills to work and the car is looking great.

John will have a very nice car and now safe as Dan mentioned.

Dan told me about this car a couple weeks ago. if you thought project "PT-Blues" was bad, it don't hold a candle to this car.

ugly

Seen this car when i visited Dans shop last year
OH MY THIS CAR WAS JACKED.
Insane to see what was dont to this car to make it a car to sell.
You guys would crap if you had seen it in person.
Dan has the talent to bring it back. Its def not a rookie rebuild status car.

Had I have not seen this car with my own eyes I never would've believed the story. Another unfortunate reminder of "buyer beware" when buying a "completed" car. From the pics it looks like a very nice car that would bring good money on eBay.

No worries though. With Dan on the job it will be superfantabulous by the time it is "complete" once again :D .

Should be a great build. Keep us posted.
