T56 to LS3 (bellhousing) dilemma.
Hi all,
I dug up my old shop project and started working on it after a long while and now I'm about to mock up the engine and transmission on the frame so I can do the necessary modifications to the driveshaft tunnel. Well, here's my dilemma, I bought a lot of parts when I had my last big inspiration with this project about 5 years ago. Back then I bought a T56 from Forte's, this is somewhat beefed up Viper spec transmission. I was supposed to hook it up to a big cube old school small block, but plans have changed somewhat now and now I'm trying to figure out if I can use the transmission with the brand new LS3/480 I now have. I tried to contact Forte's few times, no reply... :mad: It was the same thing when I bought the transmission ( I actually bought 3), their customer service seems to be non-existing. So now I need to know if the transmission will work with the LSX and if it will, what bellhousing, clutch, flywheel etc do I need to make it happen?
