Lokar Pedal Stiff

I've got the direct fit Lokar pedal in my 67 mustang. Anyone have trouble with the gas pedal being very stiff? I can't even push it down with my hands enough to open the secondaries. I've got the throttle cable pretty short and direct. The way they have this bracket the cable comes out right at the base of the valve cover so I do need to give it some slack to get up towards the carb. Anyone else have this problem?

ps, its very stiff even with no return springs on carb.

I definitely have a similar problem. Maybe not to the extent you are, but it's more stiff than I can handle. I'm thinking about swapping back to the factory pedal.

how is it when disconnected from the carb? could be angle or a binding cable. Quick search and a guy used some silicon lube and it was fine.

Remove the components and test them individually to isolate source resistance?

Cable pinch damage?

Cable bind?

Pictures would help.
