Corbeau GTS vs Recaro Specialist

I'm looking at these style of seats Corbeau GTS, Recaro SPECIALIST, they look simular but is one better than the other?

Recaro is the better looking seat IMO.

Corbeau makes a good seat. I've owned a pair before and had no complaints. But it's something so sexy about the Recaro Specialist seat. I plan on getting the Recaro's myself this go around. Big chunk of change in the prices differences though. :(

Recaro 100% I had a pair of the Corbeu GTS II and now have the Recaro. Check out JJCustominterior.com I used Ron to recover my Recaro seats. He also sells the Recaro seats.

Hey Mario,

Ive got a set of corbeau TRS seats in my 67 and a pair of Recaro speed s seats in the 69. Theres no comparison the Recaro quality is outstanding, Leather is better, comfort is better, the seat frame is stronger. Of course you get what you pay for, the Recaro is twice the price. Spend the money go for the Recaro, get your butt in to the seat before you purchase it,its like fitting shoes

BTW- The gaps in the car are looking awesome!

I've called them like 4-5 times and left a message each time with no return call. I think I'm gonna go with this company here. http://www.motorsportseats.com/recaro/. I've spoken to them a few times and liked their customer service. They've answered all of my questions and always answer the phone. That's a start at earning my business. If JJ Custom Interior won't return my calls before I give them money, I fret at giving them a dime. :_paranoid

Dudeeeeeeeeeeee

Buy the one that fits the best. However I like the Sparco Seats also

The other thing is to make sure that the lower seat cushion fits the profile of your floor. Some seats are made for flat foors other are made with a tilt built into the seat bottom.

Lots of things to consider when buying a seat just make sure it is actually designed to work in a 69 Camaro.

You can call most vendors and ask them what works in your car and they can tell you which will help you narrow down your actually choice. If they can't tell you then you need to see who has a custom seat in there car and if they still fit in the car after installing the seat.

I know most Interior shops by the Recaro with the split headrest and then modify those as it seem to fit well in older muscle cars.

ps - Call Tracy at the recovery room he can give the best advise and since your car is going there you might as well get the seats from him.

I called JJ a few weeks ago and never got a call back either. Bummer cause the seats look nice in the pictures.
