Help with rhino liner

I was wondering how to prep my floors for Rhino liner. I was going to sand my new floors to bare metal then hit it with epoxy primer and hit it with the rhino liner. Do I have to take it to bare metal/ Do I have to epoxy prime it? Can I just scuff my new floors (has that black coating on them) then rhino them? What other stuff u guys using open for other methods. Will be a driver and want durability. Thanks in advance.

I would not remove the e-coating. Bare metal should be primed.

Clean it up, Scuff it, then spray it.

X2 and looks great! Did it on my previous DD. I had some surface rust so I blasted from the body line down, hit it with a good etching primer than sprayed took all winter up here (-40C +all the salt) with no issues. Ill be doing it to my new DD when i get around to replacing the cab corners. And the whole underside , fire wall, back of the cab and front of the bed on NERA.
