Startng for first time in 9+ months
I really hate admitting that I have not been back home to start the Camaro in a long time. My brother started the car and let it run about 9 months ago, since then the battery died, so he hasnt fired it back up. I was planning on swinging over this weekend to try and get it started. Since 2005, this is the longest it has gone. Its in a locked, but not heated, garage and has fuel stabilizer in the tank. Otherwise once I get it fired, what are the priorities for concern areas/replacement/work areas? Sadly, in sitting for less time the auto trans has had issues because of the fluid not getting around much, so I imagine thats a problem. But where else should I focus?
In my defense, I was living in California, had insurance issues because of of my age/classic car insurance, and so hoping to make up for lost time this summer. Thanks, Tim |
I am no mechanic, but If you used gasoline with MTBE in the past, your rubber fuel lines should be checked or replaced..
Hopefully some mechanics will chime in to help you.. |
I very much agree with your point of viewhttp://www.50centloseweight.com
