Convoluted mess, Wheel help please.

Hey guys, could use your help.
I'm doing a Mustang II conversion on my 70 Dart and ran into a possible issue with the hub size on newer mustang wheels. I really wanted to be able to use the FR500's because they look really good and are priced right.
But it seems the Mustang II hub might be to large for the wheel. Is this going to be a common theme with the Mustang II hub/wheel fitment?

Current setup.

Front and back are 5 x 4.5
Front: Mustang II spindles/hubs/brakes on a custom K member.
Rear: Mopar 8 3/4

Is this going to be a pain in the ass to find wheels for?

Shawn.

A good machinist can take care of the wheels, I don't think they need to be opened up too much

X2...a good machine shop can grind/mill that hub for you. That's not a big deal at all.

I looked at that wheel some more and contacted the place that was selling them.
The hub is to deep for the wheel and will stick out through the cap. I think i'd have to machine them open more even if they did fit because of the lip in the hub area.

Guess I'll have to keep hunting for a wheel similar to that.

Anyone have wheel ideas for me?

Ok. I guess I should have specified that I don't want to pay $500+/wheel.

why not get some center caps spun out on a lathe there held in by o-rings? Just a though,

:) Matt

I had the same issue with the hubs sticking through on my 3pc wheels when I got them. ID Luxury sent me new center caps for free.

I think BillReilly from RMS runs those wheels on his personal Dart. He'll know what needs to be done, he also has that type of hub. If not Bill, search on FABO.

Shoooood....$500+ for a wheel. If we are talking Forgeline, depending on size, try $1000+?wheel. But, they are well worth it.
