Any experience with Edelbrock 1791 - Edelbrock Electric Fuel Pump

Hey Guys, I have a car with a Holley electric pump and the pump pretty loud. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this Edelbrock fuel pump. I have a crate 350 w/ a carb.

Thanks!

I don't have experience with that exact pump but I can say a lot of the older edelbrock pumps were very loud. How/where do you have it mounted? Is it bolted directly to the frame? I've used rubber insulators between pump and frame to mount it so it cuts down on noise/vibration.

Hey Josh,

I have run both the 1791 and 1792. I currently run the 1792 with the 1727 fuel pressure regulator. Both are loud in my opinion. A real wind up before the pump primes and then still loud. Of course once the car fires up I can’t hear it but still you would think it would be quieter. I have mine mounted near the fuel tank. The good thing though is you know it is working by just the noise.
