Hey, Elliott Wilson and Johnny Royal make up Royalworks Speed Shop. Johnny is 28 and Elliott is 22. We may be young but we have a lot to offer and have a great vision. We both came from Restore a Muscle Car. I (John Royal) worked there for 3.5 years and built a hand full of custom cars. During that time I was able to work with Ben Hermance, Mike Lavalle, and a few others. I was part of the Banshee build. On the second Banshee I worked with Ben in getting that car just right. Props go to him for getting his vision through to me over the phone and his renderings. Mike Lavalle painted the Hells T/A I built a few years ago. He is an awesome guy. There was a black T/A that i built that I believe the owner of it is on this site as well. It was a '73 Protouring Trans Am that went to Sema and got to run in Phrump, Ne at the Optima Street Car Challenge. That was a ton of fun. Its great building cars for customers and seeing them at the car shows but its another thing to actually ride around with the owner for a day and be the center of attention in a car I built. I wont ever forget that. I would have to say working at Restore was one of the most Amazing jobs I have ever had and made some awesome friends in my three years out there. Elliott Wilson went to school for auto collision and refinishing at s.c.c. Milford. He worked in collision shops until he got into restoration work and then started at Restore a Muscle Car in 2011. There he was a body tech and did some metal work, learning the art of restorations until 2012 when Royalworks became an official shop and both of us made the move to working for ourselves full time.

Now that you know some things about the owners, here's what we have going on at our shop. It is focused around restorations and custom fabrication. Our first big restoration was of a '68 camaro that was rusted throughout the quarters and trunk. We replaced quarters with NOS quarters along with wheel wells, trunk, and tail pan. Some other big projects we have going on are a '77 280 Z that is being widened 5 inches throughout the car. It is also having flush mounted glass installed, extended tail pan with custom body lines, custom tail lights, cowl hood and many more things. The last of the big projects is a '78 malibu that is being restored along with many custom touches as well. We worked with Sean Smith for the design of custom front and rear bumpers, head lights, tail lights, and front grill. We are also flush mounting door handles on this car to give it a cleaner look, along with deleting drip rails and shaving everything off the firewall. This car is still being thought up and no major work has been done to it thus far but pictures will be up once we dig farther into it.
