Naked carbon questions
 

Hey all, i was wondering how long the carbon fiber on our roof's/deck lids/hoods hold up for with out the paint protecting it from the sun.

Are they clear coated and does that filter out the damaging u.v. rays?

I have two carbon road bikes, one entry level and one high end and the manufactors tell me they do have a life expectancy (although i know they are using it for aircraft so it must hold up)

Any thoughts/problems?

So not so much a u.v. problem but flexing? so it should hold up in our cars in their nakedness?

Depends who made the part and what epoxy resin was used. Don't expect it to look new for more than a year if it's always exposed to sunlight
