Another day at the dyno
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24x7V...hannel&list=UL
I went from 604 to 704RWHP by changing the pulley on the blower and adding a longer air filter. Also installed a pressure port on the inlet of the intercooler to see what the DP was across the intercooler, ended up with 15psi difference. This set up in a buddies vette was making 817 to the wheels. Looks like it's time for a new intercooler. The guy also went for a 45 minute ride with me with his laptop hooked up to tune in some of the drivability traits with this engine. I am always amazed at the new technology these days. |
Thats friggen cool! Nice car

Nice numbers Tony.

Man I love this setup... Im hoping to drop a stroked LS3 in my camaro later this year, and maybe a blower the following winter. I bet its a beast! :hail:

that's a great combo.

Thanks guys.

Real nice set up and stunning Camaro you have there. Although you may have intercooler issues, the intake pipe with the 90deg bend a few inches from the blower inlet is killing a great deal of power. Possibly more power is being lost than sucking warm air from the radiator.
A shallow wide conical filter or even a simple mesh grill (Race Parts Direct) will see the blower efficiency soar. Failing that re locating the radiator pipe and or lowering/changing the radiator dimensions would be ideal. |

I thought the inlet was going to be the biggest problem on why I am down on power but when we made a pull without it we picked up 20 more foot pounds of torque and only 2 or 3 more HP. The exchangers are moved as far foward as possible, if I was going to do it all over again I would have moved the engine back a little or went with a different bracket set up. |
sounds mean! Love that blower whine.
Nice setup. |
awesome numbers!!
