Shockwave delrin bushings

Hey guys
Just started fitting up the shockwaves on the front of my Chevelle. The delrin bushings have a larger ID than the shock shaft. Also, the step does not insert into the hole in the frame. I started to drill the frame until I noticed the ID. Did I get the wrong ones? I did not see anything in the instructions on this. Let me know if you have seen anything like this.

Thanks

Are you talking about the Ball and Socket upper mount?

It goes together like this:

The hole in the subframe must be drilled out to 0.75" so the delrin ball can go through the frame (I use a Unibit).

The ID of the delrin ball is larger than the OD of the shock shaft so the shaft can articulate. If the delrin ID matched the shaft OD the shaft would not be allowed to move and would then break.

Thanks for the reply. This makes sense, I just did not see anything in the instructions and did not want to drill if this was the wrong parts or something.

As always, its good to get the information straight from the designers.:)
