Crossram intake on ebay
Anyone else see this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ALCA%3AUS%3A31

those things are insane. I remeber a few months back one went for 12K or something.

I tried so hard to get my Offy cross-ram to work across the entire rpm band. I even switched to a pair of Holley 8007 390cfm vacuum secondary Pinto carbs to try and boost the signal and isolate secondary opening function.
But no matter what I tried, the intake would work well in one part of the rev range, but not across the board. The one thing I never tried was throttle body injection. But ultimately, I think as a wet flow design, that intake manifold just does not work on the street. And it's not really feasible to mount direct port injector nozzles unless you could somehow come up from the bottom. I'm sorry. Is that too much information? It's cool looking and it's rare. |
back when i had my 69 Z/28 (11 years ago) i used to see gm x-rams at swap meets goin for 1500, i guess i shoulda been buyin all i could. :wow:

He's on the first gen board. Paid $100 for it from a wrecking yard and about $500 for Mc Neish to restore it. Think he did well! :unibrow:

Weren't there a couple Ebay auctions with some cross-ram setups going for 20k? It was a while ago, but I thought thats what the number was.
