Malitude on chassis dyno
Mark had it on the chassis dyno at Wheel to Wheel today. 93 octane, 14 lbs boost it made about 560rwhp and 600 ft lbs tq....Their computer program figures it should run 11.70's @132 if it could hook up.

Should have done an LS1 :D
Sorry couldn't resist. :) |
That's easily over 700hp at the crank, don't you think, Jody? Those 4L80E's use a lot of power.

Easily..... they use a LOT of power. Jody |
After reading the posts on the other board, I think people are missing the point of this car. It was not built to be a single purpose drag car, and as Charley said, at only 14 pound of boost, has a lot more room for "turning it up a notch".
Hats off to Mark for building another TRUE pro-touring car! :D |
Maltitude
Everybody forgets that this was on street tires. Even Mark said that he was spinning thru 3rd gear. I would hate to see my times on Michelin Pilots.

Forgive me, for I have sinned
I feel completely responsible for the tragedy that seems to have occurred on the other forum, as my posting seems to have set the stage for that utter catastophy.
To anybody that feels that I may have posted inappropriately in this topic, and in some way contributed to the disaster, please accept my humblest apologizes. Know for a fact that I was completely disgusted with what I saw, and have been anguishing over this BADLY ever since viewing the aftermath. |
You know Paul, I have been keeping my eye on you! You're quite the troublemaker, HUH!!!!!! :D
Take no responsibility for that thread and Larry has handled it. I should have kept my mouth shut too, but I couldn't. Meant no harm to Larry, but some of the guys just don't get it no matter how it is explained. By the way, did you get my e-mail? Jody |
Good grief...
I must say that I REALLY do wish I had never even touched that post! Can I plead temporary insanity, or cop to a plea, performing community service as restitution?
I will most definitely be much more professional (mindful / reserved) in my future posting, as I supremely wish to never find myself in this type of scenario again. (I'll remote check my e-mail and respond accordingly - I can only begin to imagine what you may have had to say! I'll go dig out the flak vest before opening !) |
First off, Paul, I don't blame you at all. I've gotten to know you quite well, and I know you see the big picture. How others ran with that thread is ridiculous.
I will say right now that I won't allow that type of stuff here on Lateral-g. I don't buy into the notion that if you slam someone's ride that you are somehow a "free thinker". These forums (Lateral-g forums, anyways) exist to help each other out and build a community out of people that share common interests - building cars, not slamming people. |
