DSE mini tub measurement???

Hey guys can someone take a couple of measurements for me? Looking to see what your DSE mini tubs measure from the both sides outer lip to inside of tub on each side of the wheel opening and direct center from outer lip to inside of tub? Just trying to see how many different measurements there are. I have mine set in place but I think I can go more?? Let me know what you've got.

Thanks :lateral:

13.75" on passenger side/13.8125" on driver's side. Fender lips not rolled.

Yup I was thinking that same thing! My issue is that the farther I go the weaker the rail gets! I'm running 335/30/18 (thanks Marty!) BFG's and I've got it set where DSE said to cut it and that ain't gona work!

I think I may change out the rear rails for new fabed ones?? At this point it would be easy to just go all the way and make it stronger with new rails :willy:
I will get back out there this morning and make the dicision what I'm going to do? I talked with Ron his is 14.5 inches at 12 o'clock which is where I want to be or more :unibrow: man I've got to stop looking at everyone's projects. This thing is getting out of hand :willy:

So after doing some measuring I've got 14.5 inches at 12 o'clock where I'm at now. Sounds good right? Well not if I want to run the BFG's 335/30/18!! BFG's web site shows that the tire should measure 13.5 inch section width well I just measured mine and laying flat on the ground with a straight edge across the top they both measure 14 inches :willy: That only gives me 1/4 inch on each side of wheel for lateral movement. So is anyone else running the BFG's on their 69 Camaro? If so how? Also I should add that I have the ride (at least were I want it) set for the semi tucked look!

yep, we made our own and added a 1 1/2" strip to the DSE tubs.

Autoweld has a nice set that follows the trunk pan closer.

Rick, I ran 335 KDWs on my '69, but I did so on an 18x11.5. I did not roll the wheel well lips at all. Those tires had a tendency to rub a little bit on the inside. I've also run 335/30/18 PS2s and 335/30/19 NT05s, and neither of those seemed to rub. I think the BFGs are just physically wider than the others.

Yah Vince those are the ones I was thinking of. Do you have any more pictures and details of what you did on that frame rail??

Thanks for the info Matt, just wondering do you know how wide you guys went on your mini tubs? I think I may end up just changing my mind on the rear tires. Will see :willy:
