Where to get Toyo R888?
Any forum sponsors sell Toyo R888? Tirerack is one of few places I've found so far. I've checked a few local places and none of them can get the "competition" tires.
Thanks! |
What size are you looking for?
|
Check the NASApro-racing site. There is a guy out your way that supplies them.
Orrrrrrrr......you can check the web for other suppliers? |
I think I'm gonna run the following sizes.
235/45/17 305/35/18 Thanks for the tip about the NASA site. I'll check that out and try to locate the regional place. I had looked around for a few online type places but I'm always a little hesitant to try a new place without some other recommendation. Too many fly by night interweb companies out there looking to screw people. |
235's will be to narrow up front with the 305's in the rear. If your having clearance problems at least shoot for 255's.
|
Yes clearance seems to be the issue. Longer term I'm thinking about the Tru Turn setup to help with that. Right now I want to try and get it together and then see how I actually end up using the car. If I get to where I'm tracking it enough I'll probably swap to 18s all around.
The decision to go with the 888 is mostly due to size availability. It was either this or a Nitto drag radial. Reviews I've read indicate this is the better tire. |
R888
Frisby Performance Tire has them. I have bought two sets from them nice people. Good tire for a heavy car.
