Anyone using an Auburn Posi?

What fluid are you running with it--any issues?

I've only used Eaton and IIRC Auburn was getting a bad wrap when I was working with my rear diff. Could be different with a 9".

From my experience (drag racing) the Auburns created more heat and metal to metal friction as opposed to an Eaton unit. By design.

I like Eatons cause you can overhaul them.

However in a RACE CAR I would run a locker or better yet a wave trac.

Either would be great but look into running a cooler.

They all destroy themselves at some point... which is why Auburn came up with their Drex exchange program.

Anyway... I got a few of them to live using straight 140wt Schaeffer #209 with the suspended moly.
