70mpg is easily attainable in a deisel golf, our old 2002 1.9tdi would regularly do that on a long run at 65

these guys take it a lot further and get some crazy mpg figures out of quite normal cars

We need to do this in the UK as Gas cost £1.40 per litre

Very cool.... too bad that IF or when it makes it to the US, mileage will probably drop from 70 to 45 due to 'regulations'. Ugh.
