Copart.com?

Has anyone ever bought a car off Copart.com? I've been debating buying a donor corvette or GTO for the engine/brakes/interior pieces for my 68

 Not sure in your state but in IL you need to have a rebuilders license to buy from Copart. They are the middle man for the ins companys. The only cars you can buy from them without a rebuilders license are the ones that do not have a salvage title. Again this is in IL so check with them to see what your laws read. Also when I worked for the big collision shops we would buy from them sometimes, unless your there on the day on the auction you will almost never get anything off of their web site. Just think of it like this if you bid on a car and one of the big salvage yards (that buys a lot from them) wants the same car who do you think is getting the car?

Thanks for the info, I'll look into it and see what Virginia and Minnesota have for laws.

They're a HUGE supplier and are even publicly traded on the NASDAQ.... so don't worry about buying from them.

thank you Mr. Weld. I'll keep my eyes out for something that looks to fit my needs.
