Header Help!

I'm the process of getting AFR 190 heads with D-ports installed on my 69 Camaro and found out the hard way (opened the box) that the Hooker Comps I ordered won't work with the D-port. Contacted Hooker and they do not offer a product that works with these heads. So far I have inquiries into Summit, Doug's, and Heddman.

Need to find an option asap!

I can go short or mid length if required.

Thanks!

Shorty from Sanderson supposedly designed for D-ports with 1-7/8" tubes

Less weight, heat, noise. Not ideal performance but probably not enough impact to matter in my application.

Anyone have experience with Doug's 368 model with Saginaw 700 box?

They work with the D-port but the 1 -3/4" tube layout is different than my current set-up:

This looks like it should clear the box but the oval 1-5/8" tube doesn't match up ideally to the D-port creating a curb in the lower corners.

Help!

If you want great headers and, while not the cheapest, they are a small part of the build cost. I have had them on several cars and they are now on many friends cars.

If you want one of the best he can make them

Lemons, But far from cheap but some of the nicest headers.

I ended up with the Doug's 368's and they fit great. The only nit-picks are had to trim the drivers upper control arm cross-shaft bolt to clear the #1 tube, the MSD plug boot is tight against #5 tube, and I can't get my Snap On swivel socket on plugs #5 & 7, short box end wrench is no problem though.
