First gen fuel pump location?
 

Where do you guys recommend to place it. It's a electric Holley blue, set up for a carb.

Holley recommends placing it as close as possible to the tank. Actually, an inline pump works better by taking less space than the Holley style.

Right in front of the gas tank is the best place. It really should be mounted as vertical as possible.

Everyone is right... the reason is because the pumps are much better at pushing than pulling.
