Brian's '67 FAST TRACK Chevelle at the Roadster Shop
Another one from the general updates thread that probably deserves it's own thread now...
Brian's '67 arrived as a really clean body shell with plans for a fairly 'traditional' appearing Chevelle on the outside, but with the internals of a well detailed and highly capable pro-touring A-body. The hit list so far includes an LS7 with TKO-600 trans, one of our FAST TRACK IRS chassis with Afco dual adjustable coilovers and a nicely modified interior. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8302/7...869f4aa1_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8299/7...8cbfd5df_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8300/7...89416d25_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8311/7...827d90fd_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8458/7...54064ff1_b.jpg And, the FAST TRACK chassis: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8321/7...10bac011_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8181/7...39418837_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8030/7...aa342470_b.jpg |

Where old meets new... http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8435/7...3834c0f2_b.jpg You can see from the following pics how the IRS chassis and rear wheel/ trunk floor area meet up and the fairly straightforward floor mod to accommodate the IRS portion. For the interior, as mentioned, the owner wanted to keep it fairly traditional looking but with some areas freshened up and modernised. The dash retains the stock Chevelle shape and feel but with a couple of subtle touches to set it apart while still looking fairly 'correct'. We decided to run a full concave section from left to right with the gauges protruding from the surface. Quick sketch of the concept:
