Do I use the Poly spring pocket?

I have a Hotchkis 2" front drop suspension for my 69 Camaro SBC and will be installing it with stock control arms. My question is, do I use the poly spring pockets during install or will they take away from the 2" drop I am looking for? Any advise would be great guy's! Thanks.

My friend with a 68 installed his without and it squeaks terribly.
