How to lower the 69 Firebird on a budget?
My 1969 Firebird has Hotchkis suspension but I want the car to sit an inch lower without having to spend too much money on rideair, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have 1.5" Hotchkis leafs and 2" drop coil springs. I used a 1" lowering block in the rear and cut a 1/2 coil out of the front.. That lowered mine one more inch. It may come out different on your car though

Thanks for the reply.
Did it affect the ride quality greatly? Any pics of your car? I would love to see them. Thanks! |

Nice car! I want to go a bit lower than that ( maybe another inch). Do you know if aftermarket drop spindles will work with the stock control arms?
What size tires are you running? Thanks for the pics. |

The tires on it now are just so i can drive it a little... size is 245 40 18 & 275 40 18. I'd like to go 255 up front and 315+ rear but it'll have to be tubbed first. |
Are your tires rubbing out back?
