pulley/bracket question
I have a 67 camaro with a small block short water pump. I want to convert to serpentine pulleys, I am adding a DSE power steering pump http://www.detroitspeed.com/products...strng-pmp.html.
no A/C....... Seems that all of the bracket/pulley kits that I have found either have A/C or a saginaw power steering pump. I am sure I am not the only one running this set up? I want to get new brackets and pulleys, short water pump, alternator, power steering pump above, and crankshaft pulleys. Any help would be very much appreciated! |
Well I switched my 68 Camaro from short to long style water pump which allows all the accessories to be mounted in front of the block rather than way out to each side and allows much shorter belts. I used a March Performance SBC long pump serpentine pulley system. I don't know if the DSE PS pump will work with March brackets but I do know the DSE rack works fine with the Saginaw pump. The other advantage is that a replacement Saginaw pump can be purchased at any auto parts store.
