585 hp for that engine to me seems a little on the low side IMO.

plus from what i have found the rod angle is bad on these motors , and puts a heavy load on the piston and wall and wears the rings real quick .

if your intrested in a high hp ls try don hardy his ls engines are priced real real great and make big hp for the price . 806 790 3003

I have a gmpp lsx454 with the typical bolt ons. Car made 540hp and 570tq at the wheels in a humid august day here in pa... I was told by the tuner if I come back in these cooler fall months I can expect 560-570 and 590-600ish... If you have any questions please feel free to pm me or see my build thread:

you can get that kind of horsepower out of a 6.2 for less money

You can't get that kind of torque out of a 6.2 though.

I have no doubt that engine will make the advertised horsepower.

with sleeves you can :cool: but it would no longer be a 6.2
