Check out these new Michelin Tires....

No air! And much less petroleum in their manufacture. Check these
out...

Thought you might like to see the next generation of tires. They had a
pair at the Philadelphia Car show. Attached are pictures of the new
Michelin tires. These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on
the
market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips
will not work on these tires. This is what great R&D will do and think of
the impact on existing technology no more air valves.......no more air
compressors at gas stations.....no more repair kits.

My dad forwarded the pics and info to me. Thought it related to the pr0-touring scene. They're a little weird but I wouldn't mind seeing what it would be like to drive on these! How would you make a wrinkle wall??? LOL!

Not on my cars. Yuk. Need earplugs for sure.

Old news... read an article about them about a year ago here in Sweden.
Hate the look of those things, look like they belong on concept sketches and enviromental friendly cars, definitly not on cool cars.
Looks aside, I´m sure they have some advantages over regular tires.
Agree w. mr Adams, "not on my cars"!

Man those are ugly!

I imagine the PRODUCTION tires would be wrapped in rubber to look like a conventional tire.

Sorry if old news - I've just seen them for the first time.
Yeah like Steven says - why don't they just put sidewalls on 'em and call it a day.

they look kinda flat with the slightest of weight transfer, which would be bad for handling and gas mileage

They are alright but I think they might look a lot better on a bigger rim and if they were a lower profile. If I knew how to use photo shop I would try come up with something but unfortunately i don't.
