Streets of Macau MC race

Think 30+ minutes of this is mentally fatiguing?

Scary dangerous circuit to say the least.

Dear lord that's insane. That's right up there with Isle of Mann with them hugging retaining walls and buildings.

Wish they had a speedometer showing just to watch the ridiculous acceleration those bikes are capable of.

I've watched that race a few times and the opportunity for serious injury is higher than IMOTT due to the amount of traffic, surface conditions, and formidable vertical obstructions. The grid has 50+ bikes in the feature race. Speeds on a couple of straights is serious as they are close to tapping 6th gear on a liter bike, so 160+? assuming they're running lower gearing.

Another race that's pretty scary is the NW 200 that runs two weeks before IOMTT.

Here's my friend Jimmy Moore at IOMTT on his Yamaha liter bike, he mentioned he had no desire to go shopping at that store. :D

Wow! To me, that picture of your friend is right up there with the one used by Ducati( I swear it was them but it may have been a tire manufacturer) for advertising the Panigale where Rossi has the back end stepped way out drifting into a corner. Just freaking phenomenal.

The other thing that has always blown my mind is the level of trust riders such as yourself put in the tires? Maybe it's because my dumbass low sided on new tires but I just have a hard time trusting my tires to hold leaning way over. It's purely mental for me as my tires have not given me any concern, and I'm sure it's a good thing that keeps me out of trouble on the streets. However, if or when I finally track my Ninja, I know that's something I'll have to work to overcome. I don't like crashing, lol.

I think this is the first pic I've seen to where the rear tire is in the air coming into a corner. Love that stuff!

Since you likey, here he is on the supersport (600cc) notice the veins in his neck and out of the seat.

He told me that corner is flat-out pinned throttle on the SS at 162-165 mph.

Just try and tell me thats not awesome. I watched the vid after I posted the first time. Watching those guys lean into the turns with their bikes and lean away from the walls was sick.

Looked like the guy with the camera on his bike was a bit under powered. Around 7 minute mark and on it looked like he'd get a bit closer to the one in front coming into the corners under braking but then in the straights they were gone.

Great stuff. Post more if you have them please.

You should know better than to bait me for bike porn. :D

I was fortunate enough to sit in a local pub drinking beer with Jimmy while he personally narrated this lap by Guy Martin..............

Easy to reel me in on anything with wheels taking it to the edge on asphalt. If you ever find the need to see vids like this from the 4 wheel variety check out the Nurburgring vids on utube. :unibrow:
