Gauges for LS motor

I am in the process of buying gauges for my 68 Camaro. I priced them out at Matts, great prices by the way, but the electric oil pressure gauge is almost three times more expensive than the mechanical gauge, Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!
Since I plan on installing an LS engine down the road would I be better off with the electrical gauge or is the mechanical user friendly for the LS engine.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

You can use the mechanical with an LS with no problem.

x2 the PCM on an LS engine doesn't need the oil pressure info. You can run a mechanical gauge with the engine using the correct fittings.

My biggest peeve with a mechanical gauge is that you have a pressurized oil line coming into the interior of the car. Should something happen to that line, you'll spray oil all inside the car and be stuck where you are until you can cap the oil leak. If an electric gauge breaks, so what. Keep driving and fix it later. Just my opinion on the matter of course.
