Kevin's Mustang

Kevin came to Big Head Motorsports for custom stainless steel header's and bullhorn exhaust. It's a SBF 438" Edelbrock SC1 Glidden head's, F3 Pro Charger and putting out an estimated 2100hp. Should be in the low seven second zone.

Are you purging when you're welding up the tube to the flange or is it not necessary then??

Greg, it's not necessary. With the primary tube being 16ga you won't have any problem burning through. Just make sure you use .045" filler rod. Anytime I use 18ga material I definitely back purge. Also, if I use a weld on collector I back purge because there is so much heat being placed in one area.
