Been a Member for a While, But Finally Introducing Myself

I've been hanging around here on and off for quite some time, but didn't have a project to work on, so I didn't post much. That all changed when I bought a '69 Camaro back in April (I know....not another '69 Camaro....lol) that needed a ton of work but is coming along nicely. I basically bought a rusted out shell, and I'm building it to be my daughter's first car. She's 5 years from getting her license, so I figure I'll get it done in about 2 years, drive it myself for 3 years, and be bored with it by then, so I won't mind tossing her the keys. Here's what we started with:

Got it home, built a jig using plans from firstgenjigs.com, and found that pretty much everything other than the roof and the center cowl under the dash needed to be replaced.

So, we started at it, one panel at a time. Here's my daughter welding up some holes in the cowl.

Here's a shot with the new rockers in, awaiting the one-piece floor:

Here she is prior to fitting up all the new rearend sheetmetal

And here's the new sheetmetal primed and installed

We stripped and epoxied the subframe, and installed CCP's Stage II kit with coilovers, and Right Stuff's 4-wheel disc conversion

Installed a rebuilt 8.5" 10-bolt with Eaton posi, 3.42 gears and new axle shafts, sitting on 1.5" dropped springs

And now she's sitting on all 4 wheels for the first time since we got her, awaiting a 6.0 liter LS engine and 4l60e that will go in around March when bonuses come in.

The plan is to have a daily driver that can be taken to an occasional autocross. Paint color is still up in the air. My daughter wants turquoise with white stripes, while I'm leaning toward white with turquoise stripes. All the trim, bumpers, etc., will likely go body color, and there's a set of 17" wheels in her future.
