67 camaro mirror options with pics
I need a decision asap on this. Would you go with 2nd gen color matched mirrors, chrome 67 or chrome 68 mirrors ?
My drip rail chrome molding and my quarter wing window chrome molding will be painted black. Also i will not run a front bumper My car http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...9/IMAG0263.jpg 67 mirrors http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pscb805a6f.jpg 68 mirrors http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...d19/stance.jpg or second gen mirrors? http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...9/DSC_1041.jpg |
Gen 2 color-keyed. After years of deliberation I've decided they are the lessor of all evils. :D

personally I like the 68 mirrors over the 67,
I think they go with the lines of the car better. Tough call though the second gen mirrors are nice as well. |
Color coded mirrors
This is from Jamess113 camaro build. Here is what he used/said "I got the mirrors form Ames Performance, they are 71-72 GTO sport mirrors. They fit perfect with out any mods to them. The only thing I had to do was install the base gasket upside down to get the mirror to fit right." https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...t=9421&page=56 See post #559 |
With you deleting the chrome on your car, then the choice on mirrors should be simple. 2nd gen is what would fit the theme of your car best.

I like the color coded just think the 2nd gen are a little to big:willy:

First thanksw for the thread, I had never considered 68 mirrors before but now I am ...
Thant said... if your thinking color matching, take a look at Blue Balz. I believe he used 70 m ustang mirriors, you may like how they look. my gut right now is the 68 mirriors |
I love the color on that second one
|
Actually the third one too
|
I am looking at late model Dodge Challenger mirrors they look like 2nd gen mirrors but slightly bigger and are power.
