After opening the box I was very happy with the hardware in the kit. It comes with a By-Pass filter that's changed every other full-flow filter up to 60,000 miles. Also a full-flow filter that's good for 1 year or 25,000 miles. Also you get a filter mount. http://carphotos4.cardomain.com/imag...467_medium.jpg The filter adapter is a quality piece. Then its as easy and finding a good location and making a couple hoses.

Now I am putting mine on a display. For installation on vehicle/equipment you want your filter mount in a good location for easy filter changes. It comes with 12' of hose. The instructions are very good.

What's the core market for this system?

These are used widely on diesel applications which are performance driven. Although I have seen pictures of By-Pass systems on all kinds of applications from stationary to automotive. Proper length hose is important. It is recommened to allow room for movement when pressure is applied. Plus they look cool!

This kit was for a 6.6 Duramax. Benefits of these systems are increased oil capacity gaining 50% more oil on some applications. More oil means the life of the oil and additives will have a longer service life. Easy filter changes which sometimes can be a pain. Superior filtration by filtering at 1 micron keeping the oil free of virtually all wear causing particles. If you have any questions let me know!
