Monoblock wheels on a 1st or 2nd Gen? Pictures?
Does anyone have pictures of, renderings of, or thoughts on using a Monoblock-style wheel on a 1st or 2nd gen F-body? Or really any musclecar...
I'm so accustomed to the older cars using a more standard lipped-style wheel that it's hard to picture how a wheel that is generally used on a newer car would look on the old car. I'm debating wheels right now, and I actually really like the Forgeline GA1R wheel a lot! I think it would be made to work for my application, but I'm not 100% sure. Regardless, I'm trying to think how it would look? http://www.forgeline.com/products/co...ries/ga1r.html http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-479.jpg Has anyone done this? What do you think? Here is the car it would go on. It's not the best picture, but I don't seem to have a good side shot: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps7012a26f.jpg My other options from Forgeline include the following: GA3: http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-606.jpg GZ3: http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-451.jpg And although lower on my list, the RB3C: http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-608.jpg |
Check out Mary Pozzis second gen, it has forgelines on it, not sure of the type though.

Mary's car has the GA3's in all black if I recall correctly. That is one of my choices, although I'm mixed on the all black combination...
Ironically I woke up and saw this picture in my Facebook feed this morning: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater Doesn't look too bad actually... |
I think the mono block look is awesome. I have never been a fan of the super deeeeep rear wheels... but the rest of the world loves it so I keep my trap shut.
