mini tub diff width
I have done a search and not found any info on narrowing a diff.. what id like to know is there a width that is used over and over with the dse mini tub? Im installing a ridetech g bar with the dse mini tubs..
Can i get some specs on what your diff measures and possibly what backspace you were able to run. is the diff measured flange to flange? (12 bolt moser) or from the end of the axle flange? thanx, Gav |
Depends on the brakes you will run but I like to run 56.5 that will put your 12" rim right at a 5.5 back space. Gives a nice looking dish.

sorry that would be wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface.

Gav --- Call SpeedTech and ask. They've done a bunch of these and should have a pretty good idea of what will work.
Remember they're now in Utah! |
Thanx guys ,, undertaking this job myself,, my car has needed this done for years and i just couldnt afford it ,,(shipping all the parts to Oz costs $$$)
4 link rearend and rear discs as well.. all parts ordered and some are here now , car is stripped bare and im ready to start! Ill contact Jay and see what he recomends Gav |
Gav I think most guys run 54"-55" wide. I would cut out the tubs, mock of the wheels (IE how far out you want them to sit) and then measure.

hello Gav like Ryan said if you dont your rearend yet get your wheels first with the look and depth you want then order rearend but remember to measure fro wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface and add for thickness of rotors, look at mine if you like that look I can give all of the measurements or can change to get the depth and look you like, let me know I will be glad to help.
