7.25 clutch question Tilton

I have a Tilton 7.25 cluth assembly . I want to put it between a warmed up ZZ4 and a TKO 500
Use it for Autocross / and trackdays in a C4 Vette
How much start and stop abuse will these clutches take ? Never used one .

Also is there a way to lock out 5th gear ? its real easy to upshift to 5th when I want to downshift to third gear . I think I read about a device for a T56 .
Thanks ...

Are you using it just because you have it? I don't see it being a very good match for your system. This clutch does not slip. It's like an on-off switch.

Are you going to street drive much? If so I would like a good 10-11 inch single or dual disk.

Clutch came on a car that I parted out .My Vette rides like a empty gravel truck anyway , so a grabby clutch would fit in .Im probably going to bolt it in . 25 # of the crankshaft should liven things up for me .
Car gets trailered to most events . Mostly track days on Midwestern road courss . Plan on doing some AX this summer .Never did the cone thing .

Wheres that SB2 ??

Sounds like a fun deal. I know a local guy here who kills it in AutoX and has been on a QM 7.25 setup for almost 2 years now and drives on the street occasionally. Has not had to change discs yet.

The SB2 is coming along slowly but surely..... :sieg:
