Build my 8.5 or buy new?
 

The 69 firebird project I bought came with a rebuilt 8.5 with a posi and 2.73 gear. It is sitting on leafs and in the car at the moment. I am finishing up body work (the body sits in several coats of 2K urethane ready for round 2 of blocking) and am getting ready to install mini tubs and a 8-point roll bar. THe car will probably have a Kaufmann 461 and 5/6 speed with at least 500hp at the crank. Would it be worth it to build up my 8.5, or is that a waste of time? The car will eventually see some road course driving.
