opinions needed on a trade

So currently I have a 41 Willys coupe fiberglass. The car has a ram jet 502 turbo 400. It has a ultra leather interior black and a high end paint job. The car is really a show car but drives great bottom is fully detailed like the rest of the car. I have the opportunity to trade for a high end 1969 Camaro. The camaro has a built up LS motor tremec 5 speed with full Detroit Speed suspension. Including mini tubes and there ford 9 rear. Really nice pro touring car. The car has custom interior and fully detailed undercarriage. Both cars are probably around 100k I know that seems like a lot but both cars are high end cars.

My question is would you trade a Willys for a Camaro both being equal cars and what is the market do you think for both down the road.

Camaro has a broader base for sale down the road I'd think...

How confident do you feel in judging the quality of the Camaro?

If you post your location, maybe someone on here could serve as another set of eyes...if you like.

i love both body styles. But glass vs steel I think the steel car will hold its value.

If the Willys were steel, I would have to think about it.......glass rod......that's just a kit car:lol: the Willys sounds like what I call a " fairground cruiser " where a LS Camaro.....properly done should be a great grand touring car........

If both cars are of equal value, this is what you want and the other guy is willing to trade I'd say go for it. I don't think you're going to lose anything by doing this.

Both cars are plentiful, being remanufactured/ supported by aftermarket/ available for sale all day long, and when I look on sites like "cars on line" I see Camaros listed in broader price ranges which tells me there is a greater overall market for them (something for every wallet). Plus the fact they are still very popular in media, movies, toys, etc which has worldwide exposure to people of all ages. This tells me that their awareness and value isn't going away anytime soon.

Willys cars, on the other hand, are really niche to the drag racing & street rod crowd, IMO. They have a much smaller fan base overall and are out of reach to those without the deep pockets to buy into them. At this point in time I think the future value of cars in this realm are in jeopardy unless they can get the next generation of hot rodders interested in them.

My 2 cents on a 2 year old thread :)

I agree ^^^^. If both are equal value and your sure about the quality of the other build and it's what you want I'd trade. Especially if no cash is exchanging hands. Just make sure of whom did the work.

The Camaro will be alot easier to sell when you are tired of it.
