RU Faster than a Redneck

Final episode just played, replays Friday I believe. I like the show, and hope it's on for next season. Cool seeing people I know personally on TV.

I love the show, but wish they'd make some changes. It's be cool if the did a autocross, road course, drag race set up as opposed to the format now. I also think it'd be good if they went to different tracks. Jmo. I absolutely love watching the muscle kick the imports ass

I like it too, I think its funny when both sides make fun of each other. The closer more evenly matched races have been the best to watch. I havent seen them all but feel bad for Bill Howell he's messed up almost every race I've seen him run.

Billy didn't have old tried and true out for the most part and while season one wasn't his best showing,,, we hope to have a season two and you know he'll be on it for that... We all just hope the network agrees that the show is worth renewing and the more we can push it on our own personal social media the better....

Didn't realize that was the last episode. Bummer.

Admittedly I had serious doubts when I saw the previews and first heard about it. I ended up liking the show though and was pleasantly surprised. Thank goodness for Kyle Tucker and Finch though. Without those guys I think that American muscle would've been taken to the woodshed more often than not :confused59: . Often times the others didn't keep it on the track.

I also found the show a little eye opening. Here we spend way too much money on these old cars in an attempt to get them to perform. Then you watch that show and see cars very similar to most of ours - if not more serious builds - go out and get beat by some late model 4/6 cylinder running 225mm tires. Certainly driver skills is a large part of it but those guys have/get more track time than I'd guess most of us ever will.

I don't know. Just a little different perspective after seeing these cars go head-to-head with modern cars.

I agree, but that track is fairly small and tight which makes it more competitive for the imports. If it was a larger road course I think the muscle cars would have more of an advantage. Although I'd like to see this on a larger track it's probably better that it's done how it is to keep it interesting.

The final race with Kyle Tucker was the best one I've seen. It replays Friday.

I agree Jody. Kyle vs the S2000 was a hell of a race. There was another episode with the Year One Bullit Mustang vs something that was also a hell of a match as well. AWD and a turbo do a lot of damage on a small track like that. Ken Squire makes me laugh. I can only hope we get a season two.

My daughters and I watch the show and even watch the re-runs.

I'm a car guy and I like imports as much as I like American made stuff. I especially like when skinny tire cars do just as well as the big old fatty's that most people are putting on the old cars.

I'd like to see a second season too! I was really questioning the idea (and being a "suthin boy" the "redneck" label is a little irritating) but the show was fun to watch!

I could have sworn Kyle bumped the "english muffin's" rear on that last lap!

Yeah, those exact same thoughts went through my head as well... Then again, 40-years worth of ABS, traction-control, AWD systems, and suspension design advances in general SHOULD be pretty hard to beat!

If you're bummed that a $100K PT got got spanked by a late-model turbocharged, all-wheel-drive wonder just think about what Nissan or Audi spent to make it happen! lol
