Exhaust thickness gauge question
 

So I bought two stainless exhaust bellows from this place Click here and they are listed as light weight 18g. I received them from UPS today and when I opened them up found they are not 18g but are 28g (.016"). They do seem to be nice, quality parts but will 28g 304SS hold up? Then will be mounted between the headers and the rest of the exhaust using V-band clamps on the header side and welded to 16g mild steel pipe on the other side. I have a e-mail in to the company to see if they had a misprint on their end or sent the wrong parts.

They are a 6" long flex joint. The rest of the exhaust is mendral bent mild steel.

I bought those same couplers (advertised at 18ga) from a different vendor and sent them back as I felt they wouldn't last.

That seems like one-back-fire away from popping, way too thin...
