GMR Front C5/6 hubs
GMR C5/6 (Front) Hubs http://thegmr.com/wp-content/uploads...-bolts-one.jpg Are you frustrated of replacing your tired and outdated stock corvette unit bearing assembly on your pro-touring car? Are you looking for something that is both over the top in style and strength? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-6wqge82Y8 (click here or the picture above to see a quick video of GMR hubs on this 69 Camaro) Well the GMR has your answer! Don’t let boring old stock unit bearing assemblies get you down anymore, Fight Back! http://thegmr.com/wp-content/uploads.../DSC029511.jpg The GMR C5/6 hub assembly is a direct bolt in component that will increase the strength of your front end while providing un matched style and attitude. This is a pro-touring hub designed for the pro-touring market, nothing else. With the ability to run multiple bolt patterns and small center wheels, this hub will open up your options for wheels like never before. You will no longer be confined by the limits of the 4.75 inch bolt pattern and large wheel center. http://thegmr.com/wp-content/uploads...ition-one-.jpg All GMR Front C5/6 Hub assemblies come assembled and with the new GMR Locking Wheel Bearing Nut assembly. This new locking nut is stronger then the traditional WH-N-05 series nuts that are common on most hubs designed in the same manor as the GMR front hub assembly. (click here for more information) http://thegmr.com/wp-content/uploads...L-1024x294.jpg Benefits: Lighter than stock C5 hub by 1.7 pounds Opens up wheel options compared to stock C5/6 units Stronger than stock unit bearing hubs assemblies 100% Serviceable unlike stock hub assemblies Corrosion resistant Not Mass Manufactured 100% American Made Features: Aerospace Grade Material Construction Non Corosive fasteners Laser etched GMR part number on hub body Laser etched GMR Serial Number on hub body Dual bolt patterns 5×4.5 and 5×4.75 GMR 17-4 Stainless Fine thread 1/2″ wheel studs Large Timken Tapered Roller Bearings Pair Includes all mounting hardware and internal components. |
Since your fabricated C6 uprights are 1.1 pounds heavier than stock but your hubs are 1.7 pounds lighter than stock it seems logical for one to replace the stock hubs and uprights with yours. Not only would there be a savings of .6 pounds but one could increase the bad ass factor by 10.
Better design + lighter weight + more strength + serviceable = Cool! In the fine art of negotiating, that is called a Win/Win!! |
Does this hub change the track width any? I mean compared with the stock, GM hub is it taller if lying flat on a table next to a GM hub?

Good stuff Jason! Keep raising that bar! :welder:
