Boston marathon
Condolences and prayers to all those affected by this cowardly act. So sad to see all of those innocent people who perished and the ones that survived have they're lives scarred for ever. It is truly just horrific to think that this can happen anywhere at any point.
As of now it seems the origin of the terrorists is unknown whether domestic or foreign but I say cancel all student visas from Middle East. We as citizen have to do our part and stay alert and vigilant when out especially at events such as these, and stop bitching and complainting about security point measures. I'm personally all for more security especially at airports. |
Yes, Prayers to the fallen and injured.
No, on the student Visa's idea. Its like anything else, If criminals want to do something they will find a way. Don't put restrictions on honest people and deprive this country of its ability to expand minds. "We maybe free but evil feeds us fear and we embrace it". I think there will be a need for appologies after the truth come out. |

More security isn't the answer. It might make you feel safer, but it's not the answer. Airport security is a joke! It keeps out guns, knifes, etc like a chain link fence keeps the wind out. If you only knew the kind of crap that gets found on airliners. If people really want positive results, they are going to have to tolerate profiling and some door kicking. Americans don't want that though and say it's not fair. Enough said |
Agreed Curtis.
Consider the amount of security the Boston Marathon had in place....at least from what I've seen on video it was a big number. Public safety cannot deliver at the level they market themselves and thus people have a false sense of personal safety. Respectfully, maybe this is the event that will change the sheep's perception of public and personal safety. |
I'm sure that Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein will co-sponsor a bill to outlaw bombs of all kinds.
I'm truly sorry for those affected... this shouldn't happen to anyone. Ever. I don't think any normal thinking human could understand why someone would want to do stuff like this. |

There are always nut cases out there ( Connecticut , Colorado theater , mcveigh ) that will find a way. it's just happening more often than ever. Any small measure is another step in the right direction. I'm personally not US born but now a US citizen, been through the profiling etc side if it. on a recent trip I was stopped three different times during my trip and pretty much stripped searched. I was completely ok with it I see the big picture. If people really want positive results, they are going to have to tolerate profiling and some door kicking. Americans don't want that though and say it's not fair. X2 on that There is no right measure or easy answer to this problem, as far as security nothing is 100% But I would agree more is better. Enough said[/QUOTE] |
Prayers sent to all involved!! I'll keep my mouth shut on what should be done to whoever these chicken s**t low life cowards that did this are, but gasoline a tire and matches come to mind
|
Its a tough call, terrorists will find a way, metaphorically the government might prefer them coming through the front door where they can be documented and tracked/screened,rather than climbing through the windows and roof and digging under etc.

Its hard to stop a determined individual or individuals from doing something like this, especially in the U.S. where our freedoms are paramount. |
