Driving Tunes??
I have to ask the age old question..................What's on your radio?? :headscratch: I bet each of you have your favorites driving tunes......what are they?
http://carsandcoffeetalk.blogspot.co...-radio_29.html Enjoy my blog about music in our cars and just how far we have come as you answer the question!! |
I have more than 7500 songs on my iPod to choose from, but required listening on my $8k Hertz/Audison stereo system is as follows:
1. Stairway to Heaven (Does this one really need explaining?) 2. Layla [Unplugged] (Simply one of my favorite recordings. Taken from a live show Eric Clapton did a few years back. I can only describe listening to this song on that system as a "religious experience") 3. Simple Man (Rounding out my love for classic rock is this classic by Lynard Skynyrd. A good song to lay back and zone out too.) With that much music, I have beats for almost any occasion. I have some absolutely insane bass tracks that can create enough airflow in the cab to float redbull cans, and a large collection of metal and techno for driving. It's based on my mood really, but no doubt, it's some of the best therapy I've ever had... |
Being an old Rocker my list is as such:
Radar Love - Golden Earring Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion Highway Star - Deep Purple Ramble On - Led Zep American Girl -Tom Petty Shoot To Thrill - AC/DC Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots Slow Ride - Foghat and for the Canadian content... being that the CRTC here in Canada rules the radio...:bang: Life Is a highway-Tom Cochrane |
I know....................the mp3 players and the I-pod have added so much to our listening experience!

8 and 16GB are so cheap now!!
|
I can't switch to anything smaller than 80GB or my stuff won't fit...
Mobile media is changing so fast it's hard to keep up, especially since now it's more about how far we can push the software than the hardware. Look at the App Radio from Pioneer. A radio specifically engineered to interface with your mobile phone's operating system and deliver the appropriate content. Integration is now the name of the game. "Hi-fidelity" is taking a back seat to being able to check your Facebook by talking to your rear view mirror, which is a shame. I'm glad that manufacturers are putting more thought into the stereo side of things, but their factory "hi end" systems cost too much, especially when you consider you could get a system that sounds 10x better for the same price using aftermarket components. |
I'll have to check that Pioneer out........cool huh??
|
The labels wore off my 8 tracks
|
Do the youngsters even know what an 8-track is??? LOL
