Race inspired lever action parking brake lever assembly
 

Hey guys, I'm looking to convert my foot operated e-brake to a lever action handle. It will not be integrated into a console, so I'd like to nice looking and stand alone handle mechanism / boot. I've only found the Lokar design and it is a little too "street rod" for me.

I picked one up out of a Honda for $10 at Pick n Pull and made a small console to cover it. It works well and I'm happy

Two suggestions. A corvette hand lever looks pretty good but I have no idea how difficult it would be to fab in. I've seen them FS on the vette forum for about a hundy. The other idea is an aftermarket billet lever that drifters use. Corey C-Dog used one and it looks awesome.

Something like this? Did a search for hydraulic hand brake , several to choose from, goes inline on rear brakes.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. The hydraulic lever action looks pretty sweet, but I'm looking for a cable driven lever action since I'll be adapting the IPSCO spot caliper onto my setup.

I saw Finch has a cool anodized parking brake lever, that is what got me thinking.

Here is one from a C6. It fits well on cars with a tall driveshaft tunnel. The Chevelle might be better off with a 2000-2002 Camaro unit.

I put this one in my Brother in laws Camaro.... so all he has is a button.

hey greg, where did you mount it? under dash or frame?

Put the button in the dash -- and the actuator just inside the pinch seam by the passenger door as far forward as I could. On Rudy's car - he has a tubular TCI Sub frame and there was spare between the outside of the frame and the pinch seam.

I welded bolts - with the heads inside on the floor - and that way the actuator could be removed or adjusted from the bottom of the car by just taking off the nuts.

Routed the cables up that side and it works perfectly.
