He's got 6-7 motors on the Seattle CL up for sale...:G-Dub: This one appears to be his "cackle" motor from the Assassin, I think he's built a belt drive cammer for it now.

I'll be working down the street from his shop on Monday, I'll see what he has laying around and grab some pictures. Last time in the shop he was going pretty good on the restoration of one of the Green Elephant funny cars.

Dan

I love Jim --- but had them build me a 427" SBC stroker motor... it was a disaster.

DALE Green is a far better engine builder - down in Kent. He just built the Brodix headed 496" BBC that we're putting in Pierre's '56.

It's neat that we have quite a bit of automotive history in the area, Jim has some really great pieces of the auto culture. With that being said, I've heard some horror stories:confused59: Don't get me started on a certain Austin that has turned a buddies blown alcohol injected hemi into a paperweight!

He's always treated me well even knowing that I'm never spending big money at the shop. Every time I come into money I call and pester him about a certain roadster pickup he has tucked away....one of these days!:snapout:

I sued the Austins and won.... Cost me $25K and was worth every penny of it... it wasn't about the money -- it was about them being jackasses...

I had the pleasure of pointing my finger at WALT --- while he was standing in my garage -- and telling him --- GET YOUR SORRY AZZ OUT OF MY SHOP AND DON'T EVER COME BACK..

I laughed for weeks over that!

Since I love Jim personally --- I never said a word to him about the bum motor they built for me. It's not worth a friendship.

This is Jim's idea of pro touring, 53-54 Ford on a Nascar frame. It's fun to watch him cruise up in it, he's not the biggest fella and the seats are set pretty low.

The next two are the new Cammer for the Assassin
1957 Rancho with SOHC, real nice driver.

Couple more...

I'm not much of a boat guy but the twin canoe is a really cool piece. It spent most of it's life at a boy scout summer camp. Built after the war, it was used mainly for running the troop leaders from island to island in the San Juans....Of course I'm kidding, I have no clue about it's history but it sure is neat.

I kinda just ran through the place snapping pictures with my phone, saw Jim, waved and went back to work. Old units, Hospital and mini heat wave had me hustling most of the day.

Bob (Robert is what he goes by) Strode is also a friend of mine. He's in eastern Washington --- and built the Panamerica car. He's building three old Chryslers now for a similar type of "race".
