Gordon Rojewski's 1967 Camaro w/ Laguna Gray RAD 10 FORMULA 43 Wheels
The FORMULA 43 Team had a great time this last Saturday at Mark Stielow's annual car party and saw many impressive cars. One that obviously stood out to us is, Gordon Rojewski's 1967 Pro-Touring Camaro that is in a roller state and soon to be completed.
Gordon's Camaro features a fresh set of the RAD 10 wheels with our Laguna Gray centers, polished and clear coated outer rims and black inner rims. Wheel/Tire Fitment: Front: 10.0X18, 275/35-18 Goodyear Eagle F1 (fender is pulled out about a ¼” and inner fender lip rolled) Rear: 12.0X19, 325/30-19 Goodyear Eagle F1 (inner fender lip is rolled) This is the same tire and wheel fitment as Stielow's Red Devil and Mayhem Camaro's. The Camaro also has the complete Detroit Speed suspension package front and rear, mini tubs, a 700HP Thomson Automotive LS7 naturally aspirated, Tremec 6-speed and a full set of monster Brembo brakes. I believe Gordon will not paint the car for a few years and leave the original Marina, patina paint on it as the car had little rust. Metal work was done by Sled Alley. ***Gordon, we need a build thread from you! :flag2: http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/...psd31de1dc.jpg http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3a952063.jpg http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/...ps75444dfa.jpg |
I saw those pics in Marks thread. What a cool car, the wheels really stand out! I'd be inclined to leave the paint as-is, would make the ultimate driver/track car.

Nice understated look with the wheels plus adding just a little shine.

I agree with everyone else here. Leave it as is and beat the snot out of it.
Nice wheels! |
Umm...19" tire on an 18" wheel? Did I read that worng?
|
I caught that too. Its probably a 18" tire.
Do you know the backspace on the wheels? Thanks John |
Thanks guys! The plan is to paint the engine compartment and underbody and leave the patina alone. Something different and as Jody mentioned, will make for a great driver/track car. Special thanks to Travis at Formula43 for ideas on the wheel style and color. I'm fortunate to live only a few miles from their shop so it's very cool to see how they machine and build their wheels.
The photo below is from the day I received it from El Paso. A nice, dry, (basically) rust free old Camaro :) http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...806_065830.jpg |
