Black or White Helmet?

Hi Guys,

First, I was just curious as to which is more common among our Lateral-G crowd...

Second, let me know if you have a reason on one versus the other than personal preference..

Which color will come out on top? ...no pun intended.

Thanks

I picked up a flat black Simpson, for no other reason than I liked the look a bit better. It was actually white but I had them refinish it since I bought it at their factory close by here in Texas.

White so you can have it painted

I had a white Simpson and now a flat black, the black holds more heat but looks cooler :headscratch:

I use a white helmet because it does not get as hot as the black ones. The black ones look a lot better tough.

Ever put your black helmet on after laying in the sun, not fun.

White and if so inclined so airbrushing to personalize. Unless you drive one of the many black PT cars!

Own a black full face, would buy a white for reduction in heat. Also, would buy an open face for autocross. Full face for drag and road racing.

White for heat, but as with my snowmobile helmet why not match to the paint on your car?? The only issue is that Every time I would get a new sled I would have to get a new helmet! Of coarse that fun :ups:
