Pirelli FIA Tire Conditions

In light of last weeks tire failures Pirelli issued these conditions for the German GP.

It will be interesting to see along with new belt adhesive being used if it resolves the failure issue. Having never seen a psi spec for F1 cars I was surprised how low it is considering how tall the sidewall is. Obviously the tire is relied on for suspension.

I believe they're around 1250 lbs with driver and full full load. Considering the ambient temps, speed, and loading that pressure is low. I'd ran the Pirelli Dragon Corsa rear on my track bike as low as 22 psi at T-hill but it was being shredded by turn 2, 26 psi ended up being the sweet spot.
