Vintage Air wiring

Im wiring up my Vintage Air Gen IV and am wondering if anyone wired the white wires to a chassis ground or does it HAVE to go to the battery ground. I have a remote mount battery and chassis ground would make it soo much easier.

My battery is mounted in the trunk, and I ran the negative cable all the way from the trunk and bolted it to the passenger side head. Then I ran a 10 gauge wire from the passenger side head to a junction block where I hooked up the vintage air white wires and other grounds to..

Thanks. I found my chassis ground (4 of them on the motor) sufficient enough for grounding the motor so no ground all the way to the battery.
